For this design challenge we decided to recreate the popular cooking show Chopped. We appropriated about 1/3 of the footage and filmed the rest ourselves. We chose Chopped because of its easily recognizable structure, with 4 ingredients, 4 contestants and 30 minutes to prepare a dish. We also wanted to poke fun at the sometimes overdramatic reactions of judges or wild personalities of the contestants. We got together and bought ridiculous ingredients and made poorly cooked meals, filming specific scenes from our storyboard. The Appropriated footage drops in nicely alongside our own, and gives the feeling of a real Chopped episode. We had a lot of fun making this project, enjoy!
